Raymond Mendez — Partner

Ray Mendez has over thirty years of investment banking experience, with expertise in all aspects of the capital raising process. Ray joined Brittany Capital in 1999 from Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc., where he was a Managing Director. Prior to Bear Stearns, Ray was a vice president at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Ray graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Business School.

Howland Murphy’s broad-based experience includes corporate finance and principal related activities, with a particular emphasis on complex corporate finance assignments as well as hands-on experience in operating and workout situations. Prior to founding Brittany Capital in 1996, Howland worked for Citicorp Venture Capital, Ltd. and the investment banks Dillon Read, Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb, and L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin, where he was a partner.

Howland graduated from Harvard College and Columbia Law School.

Russell Pennoyer joined Brittany Capital in 2014 after 20 years with Benedetto, Gartland & Company, a leading private equity placement agent, where he was a partner and ultimately president. He has extensive experience raising capital for private equity, venture capital and hedge funds from institutional investors throughout the world. He was previously an executive with an independent oil and gas company and an associate at the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. He is a trustee of the New-York Historical Society, The William T. Grant Foundation and president of the Achelis and Bodman Foundations.
